Toolbar search text does not return results for text in a template...

Description
When I enter information into the search input field and perform the search, expected hits are not returned. If I use the Full-text search option and select the template, with placing a check for the field to search in, the expected result IS returned, performing the search in the full-text search.
While leaving the template selected and the Search in field checked, no search result is still returned using the toolbar search.
How does this toolbar search look for results?
