Login error after the initial change password attempt

Admin user creates a new author user and assigns it to the author group
User admin change the password of the author user to '12345678'
Logout
Login with user author
Password change is requested (Password expired)

-> Password expired even if the password change was not set in the administration

The user fills in the form to change the password
An error occurs: (TypeError?): Cannot read property 'a' of null
The user then fails to log in in any way, and even if the admin changes his password the problem recurs

This is not a permissions issue, as the permissions are correct for the author group
Tested with Chrome Edge and IE by customer EAST KENT HOSPITALS UNIVERSITY NHS FOUNDATION TRUST
(they created a user of group publisher)

Also tested by me with Google Chrome 88.0.4324.146 (user group author)

Every time you set a password, it must be changed at first login, this aspect is normal.

The other error seems a bug, but have you tried to install the patch 030 and the 031 ?
