in the 7.5.x it seems to work properly in IE11. I attached a screenshot

Tested with a word document, in the following:
Firefox 45.0.2 - works
Chome 49.0.2623.112 - works
Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.18282 - does not work
Tested with a PDF document
MS Edge 25.10586.0.0 - works
Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.18282 - does not work
So the problem happens only with Internet Explorer 11
