It not active per default after the logon. It is indeed possible to fade in the column but after logout & a new logon this column is vanished again. This is always.

I have tried to use the ""freeze file name"" function but this does not work satisfying.

Is there another way to do this permanently. I have no idea when exactly this happened the first time, but I am sure this is since 7.1.x
